Plain-language answers to help you choose tools, understand agents and put AI to work.
What is an MCP server?
An MCP server exposes tools, resources or prompts through the Model Context Protocol so a compatible AI application can work with external systems. The server supplies capabilities; the AI client connects to it and decides how to use them.
Explore the answer ↗QUICK ANSWERWhat is the difference between an AI agent and a workflow?
A workflow follows a defined sequence. An AI agent can choose steps and tools as it works toward a goal. Products use these labels differently, so check how much freedom the system actually has and where a person approves its actions.
Explore the answer ↗QUICK ANSWERWhere should I use AI in my workflow?
Start with a repeated task that has clear inputs and a result you can check. Drafting, grouping information and proposing alternatives are useful pilot candidates. Keep a person responsible for decisions, factual verification and approval before consequential actions.
Explore the answer ↗QUICK ANSWERWhat makes a useful AI prompt?
A useful prompt states the task, supplies relevant context, describes the expected output and makes constraints explicit. Define what a good result looks like, try the prompt on representative examples and revise it based on observed failures.
Explore the answer ↗QUICK ANSWERHow do I choose an AI tool for my team?
Choose by the job you need to finish, the information the tool will access, and the quality of a small pilot. A long feature list or popular launch is a discovery signal; it does not prove the product fits your workflow.
Explore the answer ↗QUICK ANSWERDoes documentation reviewed mean a tool is safe?
No. On Superpowers, “Documentation reviewed” means publisher information was read to describe a use case, setup considerations and a first task. It does not mean the tool was connection-tested, benchmarked, security-audited or approved for your organization.
Explore the answer ↗QUICK ANSWERHow can I compare AI tools fairly?
Give each tool the same task, source material and definition of done. Compare the usable result, corrections, time and access requirements. A simple tool that fits your existing work may be more useful than a product with more features.
Explore the answer ↗QUICK ANSWERHow do I run a small AI agent pilot?
Choose one bounded task with a result someone can verify. Limit the data and tools, specify when the agent must stop, and test ordinary cases alongside missing information and tool failures. Expand access only after reviewing observed results.
Explore the answer ↗QUICK ANSWERWhat should I check before sharing an AI-built prototype?
Walk through the complete user task, including failure states. Check content accuracy, keyboard use, small-screen layout, data access and any actions the app can take. A working demonstration still needs a separate production-readiness review.
