Connected… but not working?
Debug one layer at a time. Keep credentials out of troubleshooting screenshots and shared logs.
Check the address and transport
Use the publisher’s current endpoint and the transport your client supports. A repository URL is not a server endpoint. A local stdio server needs a process on your machine; a website cannot simply launch it.
Check the account and access
Confirm the correct account, plan and selected workspace. Re-authorize through the supported flow if access has expired. Review whether an administrator restricts connections.
Check capability discovery
Can the client list tools? If it can, test a harmless read with the smallest valid input. If the tool exists but fails, inspect its schema and required fields instead of repeatedly retrying a write.
Gather a safe diagnostic
Record client version, server version when available, timestamp, transport and the error with secrets removed. Share these with the publisher’s support channel. Do not paste bearer tokens or private data into public issues.
